This season we proudly honor the legacy of Karen McLean – our sister, friend, Aunt and hostess who passed in 2025. Her heart, hospitality, and commitment to doing things right shaped the lodge into what it is today. The McLean family has a deep bench and many family members are still deeply involved with carrying on our good name.

Chilko Lake is one of British Columbia’s most iconic wilderness destinations—the highest-elevation, largest natural freshwater lake in Canada above 1,000 m, stretching about 65 km long and up to 5 km wide, with depths reaching around 366 m in places.
