Where should we stay?
There are many excellent hotels, both near the airport and downtown (20 minute cab ride from the airport). The hotels listed below are recommendations based on value and location. It is best to book early.

Delta Airport Hotel – Phone 1-800-268-1133
Ask for the "Big Catch Rate". This hotel is located minutes from the main Vancouver Airport (YVR). There is a free shuttle service to the charter plane location on the morning of departure. This is a nice hotel with full service restaurants.

Sylvia Hotel – Phone 1-604-681-9321 for reservations.
Just a short walk into Stanley Park and located on English Bay Beachfront, this is a great place to stay if you want to visit downtown Vancouver. The Hotel is very nice, but not too fancy.

The Wedgewood Hotel - Phone 1-800-663-0666 for reservations.
Located downtown Vancouver, this hotel has been awarded "Best in Canada" by Conde Nast Readers. Our guests have been offered a very special rate, tell them you are with "Tsylos Park Lodge" and you will be given a special price. The restaurant located in this hotel is also exceptional... if you are looking for a very nice hotel, this is the one! Their website is www.wedgewoodhotel.com and you can also make reservations by email at reservations@wedgewoodhotel.com

There is also an online reservation service at Vancouver Hotel Rooms that is quite good. You can make a hotel room reservation based on price and availability.

Where should we eat?
There are many great restaurants in Vancouver, British Columbia. You can also check out Vancouver Restaurant Guide for a complete restaurant review in the city.

Joe Fortes – Phone 1-604-669-1940 for reservations (highly recommended to reserve early)
Located at 777 Thurlow Street near Robson Street. A West Coast menu, with great oysters, beef, breads and a good wine list. This is a fun place to eat and the service is great. Dress is casual.

Cafe de Paris – Phone 1-604-687-1418 for reservations. Located on Denman at Robson Street. A great place. The best french fries in town! A traditional French restaurant with one of the best wine lists in the city. Dress is casual. This is located near Stanley Park.

The Fish House – Located in Stanley Park and close to English Bay. In combination with a walk or cycle (rental bikes available) through the downtown park, this traditional seafood house is great for a mid-day meal.

Bin 941 – Located on Davie Street at Burrard Street. Reservations are not available. A small tapas restaurant with the best food in town. Very small, not good for large groups, but quite fun.

What should we do for fun in the city of Vancouver?
• Visit Stanley Park Downtown. This park is beautiful with an aquarium, lots of waterfront, and great views. Rent a bike or roller blades at one of the many shops on Denman Street.
• Granville Island is home to a large local food market. Best soup in town at the "Stock Market". Rent a sea kayak, see the street performers, walk around the docks, have some good pub style food at Bridges Restaurant and Bar.
• Take a gondola ride up Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver and have dinner overlooking the city.
• Charter a boat and fish on the Pacific Ocean for a day with a guides service at one of the yacht clubs or docks.
