Chilko Lake and the surrounding area is one of the best locations
for an adventurous photography trip! With spectacular rugged mountain peaks, glaciers,
creeks, lakes, rivers, wildflowers, salmon runs and of course the wildlife...there are
wonderful settings for world-class photography.The wildlife at Chilko Lake includes: Mule
Deer, Moose, Mountain Goat, Grizzly Bear, Black Bear, Ptarmigan, Eagles, Grouse, and more.
The trips use horses to pack into the alpine backcountry to focus on a few vistas and
animals at a time and then move on.
Our Mountain Pack Trips are a great way to spend a 7 night vacation at Tsylos Park Lodge
and still be able to take advantage of the photographic opportunities. However, if you
want to really focus your time with setting up shots and seeking out wildlife photos...our
Photography Safari is the best way to go.
We need a group between 4-8 for such a trip. The trip will include the expertise of a
professional outdoor photographer who has a lot of experience in this area. He will help
you with setting up amazing shots of the scenery, foliage and wildlife. The camps are
professional, the horses are top-notch and your guide is experienced and helpful.
