We use western saddles and tack. If you have never ridden western
before, there is nothing to worry about. The guides will give you some good instruction on
how we ride and you will have no problem adjusting. We also supply leather chaps on the
trip for you to use. Our horses are a big part of the trip and need to be taken care of!
Our guides will stake, hobble and free range some of the horses to make sure that they
stay where we want them to in meadows of excellent alpine grasses.
Our herd is a mixture of many different breeds and you will be amazed at how well they do
their job! We use horses to pack our camps and personal belongings from place to place.
Usually we take 3-5 packhorses on a weeklong trip, depending on the size of the group.The
photo opportunities are some of the best in the world, amidst rugged glaciers, mountain
meadows, alpine flowers, crystal clear lakes and streams, and wildlife. The vistas and
settings are too beautiful to put into words. |
