Big Game Hunts


Include:
Professional guides, quality meals, tents & mattress pads, well equipped camps, first aid kits, emergency radio phone, movement via boat or horse or vehicle around guide territory, field preparation, and preservation of capes and trophies.

Big Game Hunts do not Include:
Cost of licenses, tags, fees or tax, firearms & ammunition, transportation to and from Chilko Lake, expenses before or after the hunt, shipping of trophies or meat to the hunters final destination, sleeping bag or personal belongings.

Guarantee:
We guarantee excellent mountain horses, delicious meals, good hunting country, and the hardest working guides you could ever hunt with.

References:
Upon request we will supply you with a list of hunters who have booked and hunted with us previously.

Reservations:
A 50% deposit is required to reserve the hunting space. The balance is due 60 days prior to the hunt date. There is no refund on deposit or balance if the hunt cannot be re-booked. We can arrange for transportation from Vancouver, British Columbia for 300 USD per hunter. We arrange for all licenses, fees and tags. You will have everything waiting for you at the lodge when you get here. There is no draws for you. If you book a hunt with us, you are guaranteed that tag.

Hunting Gear List:

  • Good Hiking Socks
  • Underwear
  • Long Underwear & Tops
  • 2 pairs hunting pants (wool, jeans, etc)
  • 2 shirts
  • Vest
  • Warm Jacket, preferably water proof
  • Rain Suit (pants and top)
  • Sweater or Fleece top
  • Thin gloves
  • Thick gloves
  • Wool Hat
  • Cap and/or Stetson
  • Handkerchief or Bandanna
  • Hiking boots (worked in and preferably water proof)
  • Boots that are good in water or wet conditions
  • Good quality sleeping bag (rated 0 F or better, -30 is best)
  • Daypack that is soft, camouflage and comfortable
  • Frame pack
  • 2 Water Bottles
  • Binoculars that are at least 8X
  • Skinning Knives and pocket knives and sharpening stones
  • 4 Game Bags
  • Alarm Clock
  • Wrist Watch
  • Flashlight (one big, one small)
  • Survival Blanket (metallic sheet to put in daypack)
  • Matches, lighter and some emergency fire starter
  • Ziploc Bags
  • Firearm (short barreled, lightweight, with a high quality scope but not oversized)
  • Ammunition
  • Cleaning string (for in the field)
  • Bio-degradable and un-scented Soap, Toothpaste and deodorant
  • Toothbrush & Shaving Kit
  • Hand-warming packets (the kind that you open, shake and they heat up)
  • Twine or Chord for daypack
  • Spotting Scope if you have one (might not use, but good to have)
  • Camera & lots of film
  • Journal & pen
  • Compact camp pillow (or you can use a sweater)
  • Painkillers (Advil, aspirin, etc.)
  • Comfortable gun sling
  • Compact Range Finder if you have one, with a comfortable strap
  • Rifle Scabbard for horse (we also supply)
