Chilko Lake, fed by glacial streams, surrounded by majestic
mountains and unspoiled nature, is home to 600,000 acre Tsyl-os Provincial Park; one
of the most impressive areas in British Columbia. Located 200 air miles north of
Vancouver, British Columbia and only 80 miles east of the saltwater, this area is
protected from the Pacific weather systems by the Coast Mountain Range. The region enjoys
few clouds and little precipitation. The McLeans hunting, fishing and riding
operation, Tsyl-os Park Lodge, is located at the north end of 52 mile-long Chilko
Lake on the shores of the mighty Chilko River. The surrounding mountains are home to
Mountain Goat, Moose, Mule Deer, Grizzly and Black Bear, as well as Cougar, Wolf and Lynx.
The terrain varies from lake and river shoreline and meadows up to the shale of the
alpine. Most areas are only accessible by horse or foot. This is an exceptional place to
hunt with great chances for excellent game and a true wilderness experience. The scenery
is second to none! |
