Chilko Lake and River are home to one of the largest and most
consistent Salmon runs in North America. Do we have bear...you bet! With the salmon dying
off after their spawn on the shores of the lake and river, the bears feed in the morning,
throughout the day and at night. Hunting Black Bear at Chilko is a combination of combing
the shores via boat, horse and hiking. Large male bears average between 5.5 to 7 feet
square. Since we are on the water a lot of the time, world-class fishing is available
throughout the hunt. This hunt can be from a camp, cabin or the lodge. Spring and Fall
hunts are both available. |
